The Prolyte® Electrolyte Analyzer is intended to measure sodium, potassium, chloride and lithium in whole blood, serum, plasma, and urine. Measurements obtained by this device are used to monitor electrolyte balance in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases involving electrolyte imbalance.

Lithium is a drug used to treat mental illness.
